Ask Bill: Cat Attract

Q:  My cat has a problem going to the bathroom outside his litter box. I am at my wit's end. What can I do short of getting rid of him?

A:  First, if this is a sudden behavioral change it's a good idea to have your vet rule out any physical issues. If it is determined to be a behavior problem we can help. Start by making sure you are cleaning out your cat's box several times a day and you may need to invest in a second litter box as well. You should also try a litter we carry called Cat Attract ($12.89 for 20lbs). It is the only litter designed specifically for cats who have problems using the litter box. It was created by veterinarian, Dr Elsey, who has a feline-only practice.  One of the top reasons cats are surrendered to the Humane Society or "given away" is due to poor litter box habits, and Cat Attract was designed to help. The litter itself has a great texture and particle size for your cat's comfort. It's an all-natural, hard-clumping litter that is 99% dust free. Blended with a natural herbal attractant, it lures cats back to their litter box. Testimonials across the web claim it as a "miracle product" and incredibly helpful. Finally, don't forget to clean any areas where your cat may have had accidents. Planet Urine Stain & Odor Remover is wonderful for eliminating the odors that might distract your cat from his box.  Click here to view Dr Elsey's Litter Box Solutions in PDF format.
